Sunlight Academy: 2025 marks a milestone year with 1,000 student visits in Xanthi and Komotini

Athens, 2 April 2026 – Sunlight Group, a member of the Olympia Group and a global leader in integrated and innovative energy storage technologies, has designated 2025 as a milestone year for Sunlight Academy, as it welcomed 1,000 students to its state-of-the-art facilities in Xanthi and Komotini. This number—double compared to 2024 and quadruple compared to 2023—confirms the initiative’s rapid evolution into an institution that connects the younger generation in Greece’s regions with technological innovation.

Through Sunlight Academy, the company consistently invests in the educational community, welcoming students from Central and Eastern Greece. Visits take place at Sunlight’s Industrial Complex in Xanthi and its Recycling Plant in Komotini, offering young people the opportunity to experience up close the core of the production process and technological innovation. The initiative aims to enhance students' understanding of the scale of operations within a state-of-the-art industrial facility, offering them the chance to observe the facility operations closely and engage in discussions with production executives.

Sunlight Academy aims to assist young people explore their career paths by providing stimuli and experiences from a real-world, high-tech work environment, helping them shape their own vision for the future. While strictly adhering to health and safety protocols within the production process, Sunlight Group opts to keep its facilities open and accessible to the educational community, recognizing that direct contact with technology is irreplaceable.
