Sunlight Group Announces Key Updates to Its Board of Directors, Strengthening Strategic Leadership for an All-Electric, Sustainable Tomorrow

Sunlight Group, a member of Olympia Group and a technology company announces key updates to its Board of Directors. These changes reinforce its strategic oversight and corporate governance as the company continues its global expansion and innovation in battery technology, aligned with its vision of transforming energy storage solutions to power a sustainable tomorrow.

 

Mr. Matthias Fischer has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board, succeeding Mr. Gordon Riske, who is stepping down. Mr. Fischer brings a robust background and extensive leadership experience from the material handling industry, including his impactful tenures as President/CEO of Toyota Material Handling AB and as Managing Director and Executive Board Member at Jungheinrich AG, where he was responsible for global Sales, Service, and Marketing.

 

His career, spanning over three decades, is marked by successful large-scale operations management and strategic growth, aligning well with Sunlight's ambitious plans to drive advancements in energy storage.

 

Additionally, Mr. Eric Alstrom, former President of Danfoss Power Solutions, joins the Board as an Advisor. Mr. Alstrom’s more than 30 years of international executive experience across leading global industrial organizations such as Danfoss, Benteler, and General Motors, coupled with his deep expertise in electrification, supply chain, and global manufacturing, will be instrumental as Sunlight advances its strategy in battery technology and sustainable energy.

 

The company extends its sincere gratitude to Mr. Gordon Riske for his strategic vision and invaluable contributions during a period of dynamic growth and transformation for Sunlight Group. We also thank Mr. Francis Wang who is stepping down from his position. for his dedicated guidance and commitment throughout his tenure as Independent Non-Executive Director.

 

Subsequent to these changes, the composition of the Board of Directors and its Committees is as follows:

· Lampros Bisalas, Group CEO & Executive BoD Member, Member of the Strategic Planning Committee

· Michel Govaert, INED, Chairman of the Compliance Committee, Chairman of the Audit Committee, Member of Remuneration & Nominations Committee

· Dr. Peter Lamp, INED, Chairman of the Innovation Committee

· Andreas Athanasopoulos, Non-executive BoD member, Member of the Audit Committee, Member of the Strategic Planning Committee

· Sabine Bendiek, INED, Chairwoman of the Remuneration & Nominations Committee, Member of the Audit Committee, Member of the Compliance Committee
